“ I come to the Tavern multiple times a week. The atmosphere and quality of service is amazing. I always ask for Laura. From day one she has been great. Her attention to details is a plus. Even when she's busy I notice she takes the time to greet and speak with the customers. Oh yeah, the food is always on point and if there's an issue it's taken care of in a timely manner. “ Our recent dinner at Hickory was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding service from our waiter, Jordan. From the moment we were seated, Jordan made us feel welcome with his warm personality, in-depth menu knowledge, and perfect timing throughout the meal. We started with the ahi tuna appetizer, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh—lightly seared and bursting with flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Reuben and the shrimp. The Reuben was a standout: crispy, savory, and generously filled, while the shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a subtle smoky finish that highlighted the kitchen’s skill. The drinks were equally impressive—balanced, creative, and expertly crafted. Jordan offered great recommendations based on our tastes, and each cocktail was a hit. Our brownie dessert was the perfect ending, indulgent without being overwhelming, and clearly made with care. What truly made the evening memorable was Jordan’s attentive but never intrusive service. He checked in at just the right times and made excellent suggestions that enhanced our entire experience. Hickory combines fantastic food, a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, and top-tier service. We’ll absolutely be returning—and next time, we’ll definitely be requesting Jordan again. They also have lots of TVs for entertainment. ”

“ I had a great experience at the Hickory Tavern! I went there for one of their great specials they have during the week, and got a smokehouse burger. The best part of my time was the service from Kara my waitress. She was extremely attentive, kind, and helpful during my visit. And makes me look forward to when I can go next. Fahad the General Manager was also nice and introduced himself to ensure my visit was good. Would recommend going here if you get the chance. ”

“ Hello! I decided to give Hickory Tavern another try. I sat in the same spot and ordered the same menu items. I was very impressed with the improvements from the last time. I took pictures this time of my food. Please check out my pics. The food came out looking picture perfect. The Diablo burger was hot off the grill and juicy with perfectly melted pepper jack cheese. The fries were hot and delicious. I was very happy with my order. The service was outstanding. Here is a shout out to Ashley D! She was friendly and courteous. You did a great job. Thank you. “ I came in here to update my review to give FIVE STARS to Laura! She is our server during our weekly meetings, and she is fantastic. She always remembers what the regulars order, and also goes as far as to have a beverage and a salad ready for on of our attendees that is diabetic, she knows that she needs to eat as soon as she is seated. This personal attention goes above and beyond of any sever I have ever met. She is a true asset to the company. I attend a meeting here on a weekly basis, and we always have the large crowd in the back room. The service is always great, even with 30 people in attendance. The food is always good and prepared as ordered. This is a great little gem in Cary. ”
